![]() We didn't see it right in front of us much, because we didn't have the dynamic of slaves living in the same house as their masters. Some episodes were less driven by the pressure-cooker tensions we've seen in the past, and though there were terrific psychological pressures on the characters - the villa scenes late in the season were coldly scary - there was less of a visceral, visual sense of their oppression. But more than that, "Spartacus" was a different show this season because the slaves and the slave owners simply weren't in contact that much.
